Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said the present government is moving forward with a vision of an independent and empowered police force.
Speaking at a medal conferment ceremony in Karachi, he saluted the bravery of the police officials who laid down their lives for the protection of life and property of the people and restoration of law and order situation.
The Governor also appreciated the services of the Ghazi police officers and Jawans.
Forty six police officials, including 16 martyred police personnel, were awarded Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal and President's Police Medal at the ceremony.
