PIA pilot refuses to fly faulty ATR-42

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) pilot refused to operate an ATR-42 aircraft which was to fly from the Jinnah International Airport to Mohenjodahro, an archeological site in Sindh, citing a fault in one of the engines, a day after an air crash involving the same aircraft killed all 47 people on board.

The TV channel did not name the pilot. According to aviation rules pilots cannot be forced to operate faulty aircraft.
