SWAT: (APP) Deputy Commissioner Chitral Osama Ahmed Warraich who lost his life in the ill-fated PIA plane crash along with his wife and daughter had boarded the flight to attend an official meeting with foreign delegation about Golen Gol Hydropower project in Islamabad.
Talking to this scribe here on Thursday Commissioner Malakand Captain (R) Usman gull said that "Osama Ahmed Warrich took permission from me a day before that he was going to attend meeting with foreign delegation about Golen Gol Hydropower project at Chitral adding that Osama died in the line of duty and was going to Islamabad on official visit".
Commissioner said that Osama was gentleman and active officer in all appointed District Commissioner's in Malakand division and he was a man of full energy, competent and patriotic officer. His subordinate officers of Osama were deeply saddened over his sad demise.
"I am myself at Islamabad to receive his dead body and will offer his funeral in absentia. I will prepare a special summary for compensation for the martyred officer family as soon as possible", he added.
A young and competent Deputy Commissioner Chitral Osama Ahmed Warrich and his wife were also boarded the ill-fated PIA PK-661 which crashed the other day killing all the passengers on board. Osama Ahmed was known in official circle as hardworking, capable and sensible administrative officer, he served on various key posts in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province.
Osama was a young officer in Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) who has graduated from the civil services academy in 2010. He was previously deputed Assistant Commissioner Abbotabad.
Later he went on to serve as Additional Deputy Commissioner Peshawar before getting posted as Deputy Commissioner Chitral in 2015. The locals of the area expressed their deep sorrow over the sad demise of Deputy Commissioner Chitral.
