AJK Public Service Commission: Chairman denies allegations

MUZAFFARABAD (APP): Chairman of Public Service Commission (PSC) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khawaja Shahaad Ahmed while rejecting the allegations appeared in a section the of press said that PSC is a constitutional institution which conducts tests and interviews through a transparent and impartial process according to a system.

He said this while addressing a press conference along with other ten PSC members here on Monday.

He said allegations leveled in the media have damaged the credibility of the institution and urged the media that before leveling any allegation it should be confirmed with proof, he added.

He said PSC examination of ACs, SOs and ASPs are being conducted after every six years adding that due to only one failed candidate the future of other Assistant Commissioners, Section Officers and Assistant Superintendent Police are at stake.

The PSC Chairman said that qualified candidates should not be deprived of their right of employment and PSC is ready to face charges with any solid prove.

He said that it was the first time that any candidate having objection was given the chance to witness his/her papers and result after completing/applying process in PSC.

Khawaja Shahaad said that all examination papers are prepared through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and all the results are uploaded at PSC website and candidates can see it easily.

While rejecting the allegation of tempering in PSC he said no PSC member can make such effort to pass or fail any candidate and all members are honest and capable and would be answerable to Allah Almighty and it is our responsibility to defend the constitutional institution, he added.
