Rescue operation of Pak Army continues in land sliding affected areas

GILGIT: Rescue operation of Pak Army is continued in land sliding and rain affected northern areas as six hundred kilometer roads of Karakoram Highway and Gilgit-Baltistan have been restored by Pak Army.

 

According to ISPR, roads of Karakoram Highway and Gilgit-Baltistan are still closed from 176 locations due to land sliding. 475 km affected roads have been restored by Pak Army after clearing 108 land sliders.

 

Pak Army has also restored 125 km road network after clearing 22 land sliders from Skardu and Gilgit.

 

Pak Army Jawans also distributed relief items in Chilas, Barsin and Pattan through helicopter which includes food packets, medicines, tents and blankets. 33 tons of wheat have also been sent to Gilgit by Pak Army.  

 

People in land sliding areas have to face lot of problems as affected areas have neither hospitals nor a doctor which have added the woes in the miseries of people.
