Thousands of Indian Sikhs wait for Modi government decision for re opening of Kartarpur corridor

In India, thousands of Sikhs are waiting for the decision of Modigovernment regarding re-opening of Kartarpur Corridor to attend the birthanniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.

The Corridor was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan on November 9,2018 allowing visa-free access to Sikh pilgrims from India to visit theirholy shrine.

The establishment of the Corridor reflects Pakistan’s continued commitmentto facilitating Sikh pilgrims.

The Indian Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, in a meeting withPrime Minister Narendra Modi asked him to immediately reopen the corridoras there is now considerable improvement in the COVID situation.

The Founder of Sikh Religion Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent last 18 years ofhis life at Kartarpur.
