ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir has said that Pakistan is looking to access a huge untapped market of the whole East Asian Region.
He was presiding over a breifing on the status of Free Trade Agreement negotiations underway with Thailand in Islamabad today.

The Minister said as per vision of the Prime Minister to access non-traditional trade markets of the world, liberalized trade environment will ensure sustained economic growth for Pakistan.
He said Pakistan has already concluded successful FTAs with Malaysia and Indonesia.
The trade volume between Pakistan and Thailand was 952 million dollars at the end of last year in which Pakistan exports were 107 million and imports were 845 million dollars.
Meanwhile, the High Commissioner of Cyprus Dr. Andreas P. Kouzoupis called on Minister for Commerce and discussed matters related to bilateral interest in the areas of trade and investment.
