Indian cricket team faces a huge setback

Indian cricket team’s key batsman, Shubman Gill, has been ruled out of theWorld Cup match against Afghanistan. Shubman Gill is under the care ofmedical experts in Chennai and will miss India’s upcoming World Cup matchagainst Afghanistan on October 11.

The Indian team traveled from Chennai to Delhi on Monday, but Gill, who wasunable to play in the opening match of the World Cup against Australia dueto illness, was unable to make the journey.

The BCCI stated that Shubman Gill did not clarify the nature of hisillness. In a recent update, the board announced that Shubman Gill, theopening batsman for Team India, will not be traveling with the team toDelhi on October 9, 2023.

The opening batsman, who couldn’t play the team’s first match in the ICCMen’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia in Chennai, won’t be part ofthe team for their next match against Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11.

The 24-year-old Gill has been in sensational form over the past 12 months,and this year, he has five centuries to his name in One Day Internationals.
