Pakistan launches new diplomatic offensive against India at the UN

Pakistan on Thursday told the UN General Assembly that India was pushingterrorist groups – Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) – in cross-border terrorist attacks against country’s military andcivilian targets.

While addressing in Pakistan’s Right to Reply at the Sixth CommitteeGeneral Debate during the 75th UN Session in New York, Diplomat JehanzebKhan said India was financing and organising secret mercenary terroristorganisations based outside the country’s borders to conduct attacks inPakistan with the objective of impeding the implementation of theChina-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

“Over the last decade, thousands of Pakistanis have been killed or injuredas a result of these Indian-sponsored terrorist attacks,” he said.

Khan added that India had used terrorism as an instrument of its coercivepolicies against every one of its neighbours, especially Pakistan andagainst its own Muslim population particularly in Indian Illegally OccupiedJammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
