Peshawar citizens filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) toimpose strict censorship on TikTok and other video sharing apps that shareindecent and vulgar content.

In his petition, Asmat Asim stated,

“Our society doesn’t permit whatever is going on TikTok where people uploadobjectionable videos, peddling vulgarity. Deaths by suicide have increaseddue to the app.”

The petitioner urged the high court to command the higher authorities toblock immoral and indecent content on TikTok as soon as possible.
