COAS General Qamar Bajwa warns against 5th generation warfare launched by enemy

ISLAMABAD- Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said thatFifth Generation Warfare and Hybrid application by anti-Pakistan elementsagainst the country’s vital interests must be safeguarded insynchronization with government policies.

The army chief said this while chairing Corps Commanders’ Conference inRawalpindi at the General Headquarters on Wednesday, a statement issued byInter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, stated.

Bajwa said there is need to enhance combat readiness levels in the wake ofevolving strategic and regional milieu.

Meanwhile, the conference reviewed the region’s geostrategic environment aswell as the situation at LoC, Pak-Afghan Border, internal security andPakistan’s positive role & contributions in Afghanistan Peace Process,situation along Western Border including fencing progress.

The top army brass also reviewed Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, COVID-19, Locustcontrol measures and support to national polio campaign. “Forum expressedsatisfaction over positive developments / indicators in all domains andimproved security situation across the country,” ISPR stated.
