WASHINGTON – Leading American Newspaper USA Today hints at nuclearPakistan and India war over Occupied Kashmir conflict after the Indiangovernment act of revoking special status of the valley.
American newspaper urged the world to intervene the Indian brutalities inIndian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) as Pakistan and India may head towards warover Occupied Kashmir.
“If the world doesn’t intervene to stop the brutality in Kashmir, all willsuffer,” the *USA Today*linksaid,in its article published in the newspaper.
The article stated that More attention is being paid to the illegalannexation of Kashmir by India is very timely and It is criticallyimportant to let our community know about the unspeakable atrocities beingcommitted in Kashmir by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-supported (RSS)government of Narendra Modi.
India’s unilateral action is in gross violation of the Security Councilresolutions and international law. This action, along with India’s repeatedarmed violations of the Line of Control (LoC) between Pakistan and India, has brought two nuclear-armed neighboring countries to the brink of war. This extremely dangerous situation calls for the immediate attention of theglobal community to arbitrate in the matter.
To understand the gravity of the situation it is important to know thatRSS, an extremist, right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitaryorganization, is the parent of India’s ruling party BJP (Bharatiya JanataParty). Its goal is to make India a Hindutva country based on the beliefthat high-caste Hindus are a superior race.
It espouses a special hatred of Muslims, past rulers of India, and supportsethnic cleansing as was demonstrated by the massacre of Muslims in Gujuratin 2002, when Modi was the chief minister of this state. Mahatma Gandhi wasassassinated by a member and hero of the RSS, for being soft on Muslims.
What is of the greatest concern today is the fact that Kashmir, the onlyMuslim-majority state under Indian control, has been under curfew. Itscommunications with the outside world has been cut off completely. Onemillion Indian soldiers have made Kashmir the largest prison in the world.
Aside from the dreadful violence being perpetrated against Kashmiris, thereis an acute shortage of food and medicines. Women have been raped andchildren have been blinded by pellet guns over the years.
