South Waziristan: Pakistan Army built mini hydropower plant starts operation

PESHAWAR – Electricity has been provided to residents of Badar Gigakhelarea on Pakistan-Afghanistan border in South Waziristan.

Deputy Commander Kanigaram area Colonel Ali Jafri inaugurated a hydropowerplant, which was built with Pakistan Army’s cooperation. In the firstphase, electricity has been provided to one hundred homes.

Colonel Ali Jafri said the army is also working on health, education, andother development projects after restoration of peace in the area.
