ISLAMABAD – WAPDA Official have revealed that at least 12 billion dollarsare required to build Diamer Bhasha Dam.
5 billion dollars are required to build infrastructure while another 7billion dollars are required for the power generation.
WAPDA Chairman while speaking with the senior joournalist and anchorpersonKamran Khan in the program Dunya Kamran Khan Kay saath said that theproposed project upon availability of the minimum required funds can beinitiated in a year and is expected to be completed in nine years or so.
In pursuance of the honorable Chief justice of Supreme court of PakistanSaqib Nisar’s order, the Finance Division had opened an account under title“Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund-2018” for raising funds for theconstruction of these dams in the country.——————————
