ISLAMABAD – Pakistani top singer Atif Aslam has announced big donation forthe Diamer Bhasha Dams fund.
He has donated Rs2.5 million to the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund.
He on Sunday met Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar at his officialresidence in Islamabad, where he presented him the cheque.
Atif was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2008 for his services to thecountry.
This week, on Defence Day, Atif Aslam had released a brand new track incollaboration with Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), to pay tribute tothe Pakistanis martyred in the 1965 war.

Earlier today, Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar announced that he is going tocontribute $10,000 to the dams fund project.
“I have decided to contribute $10,000 for the dams fund initiative,” hesaid in a video message.
Dar’s donation follows an appeal by Prime Minister Imran Khan to all thePakistanis, especially those living overseas, to generously contribute tobuilding new dams.
In a brief pre-recorded address to the nation, Prime Minister Imrandescribed the ongoing water crisis as the biggest challenge confronting thecountry. He warned that if new water reservoirs were not built within sevenyears, the country would be facing a drought-like situation.
The initiative was originally kick-started by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar whodonated Rs1 million for the two dams and urged all institutions andindividuals to play their due role for the construction of the dams in thecountry.
