*ISLAMABAD – Two engineering marvels long tunnels at Havelian-Thakotsection of Karakorum Highway have been operationalized, under theChina-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.*

Project Manager of China Communications Construction Company Zhu Jiangfantold media in Islamabad that the two tunnels, out of the six, had been madeoperational at a very difficult track.

He said work on the remaining tunnels was in final stages and would becompleted within the stipulated time.

The project manager informed that the total length of the tunnels was over10 kilometers which would be completed at a cost of about 1.3 billiondollars. More than 118 kilometer road, divided into three sections, wasalso being constructed under the CPEC project.
