KABUL – The U.S. Department of State says that the Afghan war cost is highfor the United States has taken utmost efforts to end the war and violencein Afghanistan.
Morgan Ortagus, Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State, says that thewar in Afghanistan costs too much for the U.S. and to end the war is aneed; therefore, Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. Special Representative forAfghanistan Reconciliation, has spent too much time over the peace process.
She further says that the U.S. wants the people of Afghanistan to selectthe future of their government themselves.
At the same time, Donald Trump has discussed the progress in the Afghanpeace process with the Amir of Qatar.
