ISLAMABAD – Caretaker Minister for Defence Production, Lt. General (Retd)Naeem Khalid Lodhi has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to itsrelations with Italy.
He was talking to Ambassador of Italy Stefano Pontecorvo who called on himalong with a delegation in Rawalpindi on Monday.
Minister expressed satisfaction on the establishment of “Pak-Italy JointCommittee on Defence systems”, which will further promote the defencecollaboration between the two countries.
The Minister said Pakistan there is a lot of potential in Pakistan in thefields of energy, defence production and trade which needs to be explored.
During the meeting both the sides stressed the need to enhance cooperationin the field of defence production.
They also agreed on regular exchange of high level visits between both thecountries.
