Former PML N lawmaker Nazia Raheel awarded PTI ticket even without applying

ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker NaziaRaheel hinted that she may take legal action against the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for ‘wrongly allocating’ her a party ticket tocontest from the Toba Tek Singh’s PP-122.

Responding to the PTI’s list of provincial candidates for the 2018 generalelections, Mrs Raheel said, “I am consulting with my lawyer and I may takelegal course against PTI.”

“It is clear that PTI has foreseen the defeat and they are now using suchmalicious attempts to break our local alliance. Our force will onlystrengthen after such actions,” she responded when asked why she wasallotted a PTI ticket despite being a PML-N candidate.

Mrs Raheel confirmed that she had only requested a party ticket from thePML-N. It should be noted here that she is a two-time member of the PunjabAssembly from PP-88.

She added, “My political rivals used it as a ploy against me. I have alwayscontested elections from the PML-N’s platform and will do so this time too.”

PTI has announced 173 candidates for National Assembly, 81 for KP Assembly,21 for Sindh Assembly, 21 for Balochistan Assembly, and 165 for PunjabAssembly.
