BEIJING: Chinese company EHang developed world’s first passenger drone named EHang 184.
As per report, the drone taxi is capable of carrying a person and fly upto 11,000 feet high for 23 minutes.
The drone has cleared its initial flying tests held in US state Nevada and further test will be held at the end of running year.
Sources claimed that the passenger drone is fully autonomous and having no physical controls like, joy stick or steering wheel in it.
The company said “After sitting up the flight plan with a single click, user can take off on any location, sit, relax and enjoy the flight.”
“I personally look forward to the day when drone taxis are part of Nevada’s transport system,” Tom Wilczek, Aerospace and Defense Industry Specialist for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, said in a statement.
The drone was introduced for the first time in Nevada in 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas held in January.
