NEW YORK: China is ready to counter India’s Nuclear Suppliers Group membership.
China has also convinced some other members states of NSG including Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey and Austria to object India’s membership.
China warned that if India is granted membership then it will raise security concerns in the region.
Sources claimed that Indian membership may be conditioned with Pakistan’s membership to the group.
PM Nawaz Sharif’s advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has also established contact with countries supporting India’s membership and revealed Islamabad’s concerns.
After joining NSG, India will be able to import or export nuclear technology.
