ISLAMABAD – The longest and shortest fasting times around the globe.
The longest fast will be for 20 hours and 45 minutes in Russia’s Murmanskwhile the shortest will be in Argentina’s Ushuaia clocking in at 11 hours.
With the holy month of Ramazan right around the corner, members of theMuslim faith will practice tolerance through fasting.Prayer timings inmajor cities of these countries were used to calculate the intervalsbetween *Fajr* (preceding sunrise) and *Maghrib* (marking sunset) on theexpected first day of Ramazan.
For example, Russia’s Murmansk only has 3 hours of darkness, before the sunrises again at 1:41 am.
