SRINAGAR – Occupied Kashmir students of the University of Kashmir, IslamicUniversity of Science and Technology and Central University of Kashmir,today, hit the streets against the killing of a varsity professor and otheryouth by the Indian troops in south Kashmir on Sunday.
The students assembled in the respective campuses of the universities inSrinagar, Awantipora and Ganderbal and raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan andanti-India slogans.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown continued in Shopian and Pulwama districtsagainst the killings. Shopian witnessed the strike for the 13th consecutiveday, today.
Shutdown was also observed in Bhaderwah and other areas of Jammu regionagainst the Indian brutalities in the Valley.
The Chairman of Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Dar speaking to themourners at the residence of Professor Dr Muhammad Rafi Butt in Chandanarea of Ganderbal said that the sacrifice of Dr Rafi had added anothergolden chapter to the freedom movement of Kashmir.
On the call of Joint Resistance Leadership, people , today, unfurled blackflags on their homes, shops, vehicles to mark protest against killing spreeby the hands of Indian troops in Occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilanicautioned people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the divide-and-rulepolicy of pro-India politicians.
In a statement in Srinagar, he appealed to international community to raiseits voice against the embattled people of occupied Kashmir.
