ANKARA:
Four American soldiers were injured in a missile attack targeting a US baseeast of Syria, according to the US-led international coalition to combatDaesh/ISIS on Saturday.
“Coalition forces at Green Village in Eastern Syria received two rounds ofindirect fire that struck two support buildings,” the coalition said in astatement.
It added that four US service members were “being evaluated for minorinjuries and possible traumatic brain injuries.”

US Defence Department spokesman John Kirby said the perpetrators were notyet known, adding that Iranian-backed Shia armed groups were suspected tobe behind the attack.
