ISLAMABAD – If the coronavirus pandemic has taught us one thing, its thatthe real heroes are the doctors and medical professionals alongside the lawenforcement agencies, who are risking their own lives to save others.
The doctors and nurses are the frontline warriors in this battle, and theentire world is indebted to them for their selfless services. Dr. SaleemaRehman, an Afghan refugee in Pakistan, is another such hero who is pursuingthis noble profession.
Saleema works at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi where she is takingcare of the coronavirus patients alongside her fellow doctors andparamedical staff.
The total number of reported coronavirus cases have jumped above 4,000 inPakistan with over 50 deaths.——————————
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UHNCR) Representationfor EU Affairs posted a tribute to the brave doctor on Twitter, saying, “AtHoly Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, Afghan refugee Dr. Saleema Rehmanprovides a lifeline to some of the poorest people in Pakistan”.
