Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Tuesday thatno-confidence in the National Assembly and the Punjab Assembly will be forthe country and not for power.
Addressing media in Islamabad, he said that Pakistan cannot move forwarduntil it begins with the law and constitution that do not allow a premierto ask for the vote of confidence from the parliament himself.
He also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan warned the opposition in hisspeech but the NA remained silent. He said, “His own Finance Minister wasdefeated by Members National Assembly (MNAs). The minister should have quiton moral grounds afterward.”
“The incumbent regime has done horse-trading in the Senate elections bygiving Rs 70 crore in Balochistan and Rs 35 crore in Sindh. The promise offunds worth Rs 50 crore with assembly members is bribery. Institutionsplayed part in securing the vote of confidence for Imran Khan.”
