ISLAMABAD – Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has called forresolution of disputes between Pakistan and India through dialogue forpeace and stability in the region.

He was talking to Pakistani High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Shahid AhmadHashmat who called on him in Colombo.

The Srilankan President said the military escalation between Pakistan andIndia will affect the entire region.

High Commissioner underscored repeated sincere and honest efforts made byPrime Minister Imran Khan in de-escalating the recent tension across theLine of Control between India and Pakistan.
