Breakthrough reported in Pakistan India tensions

NEW DELHI – India has decided to send its high commissioner back toIslamabad after tensions between the two countries have simmered down.

Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria is expected to arrive inIslamabad today (Saturday) and take charge of the post once again.

After the Pulwama attack on February 14, both countries recalled theirenvoys for “consultations”.

“High Commissioner of India to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria, is returning toIslamabad after having completed his consultations in India. He will reachIslamabad on March 9 and resume his duties,” India’s Ministry of ExternalAffairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar told the Indian media.

Pakistan has already sent its high commissioner, Sohail Mahmood, back toNew Delhi. He was recalled on February 18.
