Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad Majeed Khan met with the Director General of theOrganization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Ambassador FernandoArias in Hague yesterday.
The two sides discussed the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and theOPCW.
The Director General OPCW appreciated Pakistan’s role as member of theExecutive Council and its contribution to different capacity buildingprograms. Through its capacity building programme and internationaltraining courses for participants from around the globe, Pakistan has beenactively contributing to the work of the OPCW and implementation of theChemical Weapons Convention.

The Foreign Secretary appreciated the work being done by OPCW andreaffirmed Pakistan’s abiding commitment to the full implementation of theChemical Weapons Convention. He conveyed that Pakistan is looking forwardto the early operationalization of the ChemTech centre.
