Federal Minister of Information Technology Syed Aminul Haq has saidthat consultation with the Ministry of IT will be mandatory before theclosure of any website.
The first meeting of the ministerial committee on the closure ofWikipedia was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister ITAminul Haq, Minister of Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazir Tarar andFederal Minister of Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar participated in themeeting.
On this occasion, Syed Aminul Haq said that consultation with theMinistry of IT will be mandatory before any website closure, websiteclosure means disconnection from the digital world and socio-economicdamage.
