Pakistan Military rescues Finnish beauty queen in a daring adventure

ISLAMABAD – A Pakistani army helicopter on Sunday rescued an American and aFinnish climber stranded on a mountain peak in the country’s north,according to news agency AP.

Hintsa and an American climber were stranded during the ascent due tosickness, the American news agency said.

On Sunday afternoon, Hintsa took to Instagramlink to say, “Iwas perfectly capable and willing to walk out on my own feet at the end ofthe expedition. The Pakistan Military helicopter pilots who were there toevacuate my climbing partner Don were gracious enough to invite me to flyout with them.”

Hintsa was crowned Miss Finland in 2013.

The two climbers were part of a winter expedition to the 8,000-metre BroadPeak, the world’s 12th highest mountain. It’s located in the Karakoramrange on the border of Pakistan, India and China.

Broad Peak is located around 10 kilometres from the K2 mountain, the secondhighest peak in the world.
