SARAJEVO: Around 2,000 women protested in Sarajevo, Bosnia against ban on wearing Hijab in judicial institutes.
The protesters raised banners reading “Hijab is My Daily Choice,” “Hijab is My Right,” and “Hijab is My Life.”
The protesters marched for hours through the streets of the capital city of Sarajevo.
Muslim Political and religious leaders strongly condemned the ban on wearing Hijab in judicial institutions.
They claimed that it is a serious attack against Muslim honour, personality and identity which affects employees throughout the judicial sector.
They claimed that we are not victims of this scarf, it is our crown, liberty and honour and we came to defend our right. Hijab was banned in Judicial institutions in Bosnia by the court orders few days back and muslim women community strongly reacted to the court verdict and decided to protest against the court decision.
