NEW DELHI – In India, nationwide strike called by Central Trade Unionsagainst policies of Modi government entered second straight day onWednesday.
There are reports of strike in West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, Keralaand Karnataka.
The protesting unions demand minimum wages for workers, universal socialsecurity cover, stoppage of disinvestment in public sector units, andenforcement of basic labor laws.
