Gold prices register significant decline in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a decline on Saturday, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The price per tola of gold decreased by Rs2,000, bringing the new price to Rs261,500. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold saw a reduction of Rs1,714, now standing at Rs224,194.
In contrast, silver prices remained steady, with the price per tola unchanged at Rs2,950.
On the international market, spot gold dropped by 0.8% to $2,495.86 per ounce, after reaching its highest point since August 20, a day when gold hit a record peak. U.S. gold futures also declined by 0.7%, closing at $2,524.60.
Elsewhere in the precious metals market, spot silver saw a significant drop of 3.1%, settling at $27.92. Platinum prices fell by 0.4% to $920.55, while palladium experienced a notable decline of 3.1%, with prices at $913.00.
