The couple's wedding festivities, following their nikkah ceremony held in February this year, are expected to commence shortly after the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023. The regional event's final match is scheduled for September 17 in Sri Lanka, and Pakistan stands a strong chance of making it to the final round.
A sports journalist, posting on the social media platform X, claimed that his sources informed him that Shaheen Afridi's barat event will take place in Karachi on September 19, just two days after the Asia Cup ends. He also mentioned that the walima ceremony is set to be held at a private hotel in Islamabad on September 21, a claim supported by various media reports.
