Pakistan took diplomatic action on Friday by summoning a high-ranking Afghan diplomat to the Foreign Office and presenting a demarche in response to the Chitral attacks. In this official communication, Pakistan urged the interim Afghan government to prevent its territory from being exploited for activities against Pakistan's interests.

The significance of this diplomatic move becomes evident when viewed in light of the recent events in Chitral. Just two days prior, a military operation was carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chitral district, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers and the elimination of 12 terrorists.

Pakistan's concern about its neighboring country's role in such incidents prompted this action.

The Foreign Office's expectation, articulated earlier in the day, is that the interim Afghan government will fulfill its responsibilities by ensuring that its soil is not utilized as a sanctuary for terrorists who aim to perpetrate acts of violence against Pakistan. This underscores the urgency of addressing cross-border security issues in the region.

In a subsequent interaction with media representatives in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized that Pakistan had officially conveyed its apprehensions about the recent terrorist attack on military posts in Chitral to the interim Afghan authorities, reflecting Pakistan's commitment to addressing and resolving security challenges in the region through diplomatic means
