KARACHI – Pakistan Navy Day is being observed across the country today (Friday) to commemorate the role of Pakistan Navy in the 1965 war.
Flag raising ceremonies were held at all the bases of Pakistan Navy to mark the day, while Quran Khawani and Fateha were also held for the martyrs.
The day is observed every year in memory of the Operation Dwarka carried out successfully by Pakistan Naval Forces on the night between 7th and 8th September 1965.
This brave venture by Pakistan Navy against the enemy with much better Naval fleet and facilities raised the morale and prestige of Pakistan Navy.
