Pakistani thriller Lal Kabootar wins Best Feature Film Award at Tasveer South Asian Film Festival

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani crime-thriller film, Laal Kabootar has added yet another feather to its cap as it has won the Best Feature Film Award at Tasveer South Asian Film Festival.

This is not the first international award for this feature film as its actor Ahmed Ali Akbar had earlier won the Best Actor award at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival.

The film was also selected as Pakistan’s official entry for the famous Oscars. The Academy will choose the final nominees for all award categories in December.

The film directed by Kamal Khan, also stars Mansha Pasha in the lead role. After its release in March, it was widely praised by critics.

One of the largest film festivals, the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival allows filmmakers and audiences to engage in lively discussions at one platform.

The festival took place from September 26 to October 6 in different venues of Seattle. Reportedly, around 60 films were screened and the festival was attended by thousands of people.
