FazalRehman Azadi Match faces yet another big setback

ISLAMABAD – JUF F Chief Fazal-ur-Rehman Azadi Match faces yet another big setback as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed the petition against ‘Azadi March’ of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for hearing tomorrow (Wednesday).

On Tuesday, a petition seeking to stop the JUI-F from staging a march and sit-in – which is scheduled to take place on October 27 against the incumbent government – in Islamabad was filed in the IHC.

IHC Justice Athar Minallah will hear the case on October 9 (Wednesday) against the ‘Azadi March’ and sit-in protest of JUI-F chief. Islamabad High Court Registrar’s Office has issued a cause list.

In the petition, the petitioner requested to prevent Fazlur Rehman from holding the Azadi March and demonstration in the capital. The Supreme Court and the Islamabad High Court have ordered fixed place to be the premises of protest and the sit-in should remain there to avoid disruption in routine of the people, petition read.
