The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Administrative Committee, Zaka Ashraf, has dispelled concerns about the future of Babar Azam's captaincy in the upcoming 2023 World Cup due to the national team's recent performance.
Zaka Ashraf clarified in a recent press conference that the decision regarding Babar's captaincy is not solely in his hands. He mentioned that it is a collective decision involving a technical committee with the presence of Misbah-ul-Haq and Hafeez.
He emphasized that the decision will be made based on their recommendations and expertise, not by him alone. The PCB Chairman also expressed hope for Babar's success and wished to see him elevate Pakistan's cricketing stature through his leadership.
