Dr Firdous urges opposition to avoid undue criticism

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan urged the opposition to avoid undue criticism and support the government in resolving the national issues.

Talking to a private news channel, she said both the government and the opposition are equally responsible to run the affairs of parliament smoothly.

She said the government does not want any confrontation with the opposition parties and would take them into confidence to further improve the 18th Amendment.

Dr Firdous said it was a constitutional prerogative of the government to appoint a minister or head of any organization.

She said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has not committed any wrong for approaching the International Monitory Fund as the previous regimes had also got IMF's bailout packages to improve the national economy.
