Fisheries sector in Balochistan: Plants, Processors being developed on coastal belt

The incumbent government is taking concrete measures for promotion of fisheries sector and make Balochistan self-sufficient in production of white meet.

An official of Provincial Fisheries Department told our correspondent in Quetta on Monday that, Jetty and Fish Harbour at Damb area of district Lasbela is being constructed at a cost of more than 536 million rupees.

Similarly, a project for establishing of Fish Processing Plant in Pasni area of district Gwadar is also being executed at a cost of more than 269 million rupees.

The official further said that a project of construction of Fisheries Infrastructure Auction Hall in Gwadar district is being constructed at a cost of 200 million rupees.
