LAHORE (APP): A special ceremony was held here on Sunday to mark the 71st anniversary of atomic bombing at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.
Addressing the ceremony, representative of Global Zero for Lahore, an international organization, Amna Iman Sorish said future of the next generations could be saved by abolishing or non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
She said people even after 71 years could not forget the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki caused by the nuclear bombing.
She added condemnation rallies and ceremonies were being organized at international level with an aim to limit the expansion of nuclear weapons in order to ensure peace in the world.
Students from various educational institutes also spoke on the occasion.
