DAMASCUS: ISIS militants allegedly massacred 175 abducted cement workers out of 300 who were abducted from a cement factory near the town of Dumeir in northeast of Damascus.
300 workers were abducted from Al Badia cement factory after the ISIS attack on Friday.
A resident of Dumeir said yesterday “We haven’t been able to reach our family members since noon on Monday after an attack by Daesh on the factory. We have no information about where they are.”
The company employer claimed that he is unable to establish contact with factory workers.
ISIS launched attacks on government troops near Damascus after their retreat from Palmyra and other towns.
Syrian troops are taking control of ISIS hold areas continuously after the ceasefire agreement of five years old war that does not include ISIS and Al-Nusra Front.
UN claimed that more than 450,000 people have been killed and millions have been dispersed in the war.
UN envoy for Syria peace talks Staffan De Mistura claimed that next round of talks will begin soon and he will also travel to regional countries to discuss about their interest in Syrian peace process.
