LAHORE – Lahore, Gojra and Faisalabad motorways have been closed fortraffic owing to thick fog in the province, ARY News reported.
According to details, the motorway section between Kot Momin and PindiBhattian has also been closed.
The commuters were requested to avoid unnecessary travel by the Motorwaypolice. They have also been asked to contact the helpline 130 beforesetting out for journey.
Intense fog has engulfed most of the plains of Punjab in Lahore,Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur divisions with thevisibility limit restricted causing travel on the National Highway and themotorways difficult.

The visibility limit from Faisalabad to Gojra said to be restricted between20 to 200 meters, while from Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore to Kot Mominbetween 20 to 500 meters.
The fog has also covered Sheikhupura, Kasur, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar andShorkot. The misty conditions disturbed the routine life in Manga Mandi,Patoki, Okara, Sahiwal and Cheechawatani, according to reports.
