The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Administrative Committee,Zaka Ashraf, has dispelled concerns about the future of Babar Azam’scaptaincy in the upcoming 2023 World Cup due to the national team’s recentperformance.
Zaka Ashraf clarified in a recent press conference that the decisionregarding Babar’s captaincy is not solely in his hands. He mentioned thatit is a collective decision involving a technical committee with thepresence of Misbah-ul-Haq and Hafeez.
He emphasized that the decision will be made based on their recommendationsand expertise, not by him alone. The PCB Chairman also expressed hope forBabar’s success and wished to see him elevate Pakistan’s cricketing staturethrough his leadership.
