ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sought apermission for producing fresh documents before the court in the Flagshipreference filed against members of the former ruling family.
During the hearing of the reference in the accountability court onThursday, NAB’s prosecutor Muzaffar Abbasi expressed that the communicationregarding the Mutual Legal Assistance was carried out by the JointInvestigation Team, however, the replies on the queries were to be obtainedby the anti-graft body.
He argued that the concerned states were informed about the relevantdepartment to which they had to reply on the Mutual Legal Assistance,adding that such letters need to be brought to the court record.
Upon this, the counsel for Nawaz Sharif opposed the proposal of NAB.
A day earlier, NAB had informed judge Arshad Malik that Hassan Nawaz, theson of former premier Nawaz Sharif owns 17 properties in UK.
