FIR being launched against Pakistani commentator Zainab Abbas in India

Indian Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal, on Thursday, October 5th,announced that he had submitted a cyber complaint targeting Pakistanicricket presenter Zainab Abbas. This action followed the rapiddissemination of her historical posts displaying anti-Hindu and anti-Indiasentiments.

Jindal, in his complaint dated October 4th, firmly asserted that ZainabAbbas had propagated statements that were detrimental to India andexhibited an aversion towards Hinduism. He took to social media to informthe public about his complaint, which he had lodged with the Cyber Cell ofthe Delhi Police.

In this complaint, he urged the authorities to initiate legal proceedingsagainst Zainab Abbas under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 153A, 295, 506, and 121, along with section 67 of the IT Act.These charges stemmed from her disparaging comments regarding Hinduism andher anti-India statements.

Furthermore, the advocate made a plea for the immediate removal of thePakistani presenter from the roster of presenters for the ongoing ICC Men’sWorld Cup. He emphasized the need to exclude individuals with anti-Indiasentiments from representing their country in a prestigious internationalevent.

Jindal took to social media to voice his stance, posting, “Complaintagainst @ZAbbasOfficial filed by Advocate & Social Activist @vineetJindal19with the cyber cell Delhi Police. Requesting to lodge FIR under section153A, 295, 506, 121 IPC and sec 67 IT Act for making derogatory remarks forHindu faith and beliefs and for anti-Bharat statements.

Zainab must be removed from the list of presenters on an immediate basisfrom ICC World Cup by @ICC & @BCCI. Anti-Bharat people are not welcome inBharat.”The recent selection of Zainab Abbas by the International Cricket Council(ICC) as a presenter for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 has garneredsignificant attention.

However, shortly after her appointment, long-forgotten posts from ZainabAbbas, where she made derogatory remarks about Hindus by referencing “cowpiss,” resurfaced. These posts have since been deleted, and Zainab Abbaseven changed her Twitter handle several years ago. An examination of herprevious Twitter handle, “zainablovessrk,” and its interactions revealsthat it has now transformed into her current Twitter account,”ZAbbasOfficial.”

It’s crucial to highlight that the use of the “cow urine” insult has been apreferred tactic among certain groups, including Hindu-hating leftliberals, Islamists, and Jihadis, to denigrate top-order Hindus, oftenreferred to as Kafirs (infidels). In 2019, a devastating suicide attack inPulwama, Kashmir, carried out by a Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Muhammadterrorist named Adil Ahmad Dar, claimed the lives of up to 40 CRPFsoldiers.

Following the attack, a video was released in which the terrorist expressedhis intention to punish and murder ‘cow urine drinkers’ in the name ofAllah. This grim incident underscores the disturbing use of such derogatoryterms, as Adil Ahmed Dar, also known as Waqas, had admitted to joining theJaish-e-Mohammad just a year before the attack and used the phrase “Gae kaPeshab Peene Wale” to refer to Indians in the video.
