PESHAWAR – Important developments reported in former President PervaizMusharraf treason case.
After the retirement of Justice Tahira Safdar, the federal governmentappointed Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth as the bench’s new head in high treasoncase against former president Pervez Musharraf.
The three-judge bench of the special court, headed by Justice Waqar AhmedSeth, accepted a plea by Musharraf’s to postpone the hearing on the groundsof his counsel’s ailment.
The petition requesting adjournment stated that Musharraf’s counsel, RazaBashir, was suffering from dengue and is currently under treatment at ahospital. However, the court nominates new defence counsel in Musharraftreason case
