Pakistan puts forward demand before UN over occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has put forward newdemand before the United Nations over the Indian Forces atrocities inoccupied Kashmir.

Qureshi on Sunday exhorted the United Nations to set up an inquirycommission to probe atrocities being committed by Indian occupation forcesin the Held Kashmir based on the recent report presented by the UN HumanRights Commission.

Addressing the media in Multan, the foreign minister said that the Kashmirissue had been in the limelight ever since the UNHRC rolled out the reportearlier this year, Radio Pakistan reported.

Commenting on his meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,Qureshi said that he urged the secretary-general to probe the Indianatrocities.

When asked about Pakistan’s relations with its neighbours, the foreignminister said Pakistan wanted good relations with India and other countriesin the region.
